Description

At Welltea we’ve searched far and wide for the most delightfully refreshing blends of Black Ceylon Teas to be found in the highlands of Sri Lanka. With every blend, you can be assured that WellTea’s Black Ceylon Tea will provide you with a soothing bright golden cup of tea, imbued with a highly refreshing taste with hints of orange and citrus.

Every packet has been blended from tea leaves harvested from the finest low, medium, and high grown tea plantations across the island of Sri Lanka. After harvesting, the tea leaves are left to wither in the sun to remove some of the moisture so they are easier to blend. The leaves are then fired with hot air to avoid the risk of oxidation and to help them release their natural flavour.

Until a few decades ago, Sri Lanka was known as Ceylon. This is a name which lives on in the promotion of the country’s abundant tea plantations. The country does, in fact, produce nearly 19% of the world’s exported tea.

If your taste buds yearn for a higher quality and more refreshing cup of tea, we highly recommend our Ceylon Black Tea. They offer the perfect gateway to discovering the citrus tinged black tea from a country with a rich and proud history of tea cultivation.

    Very Impressed!

I have been enjoying several cups of this delicious green tea daily and find it refreshing and relaxing. It is very good quality and a little goes a long way since I can brew two or three times before discarding the leaves.

Seems to be of reasonable quality, the taste is quite mellow and the second wash is good for the cost. Worked in China for seven years and had Tie Guan Yin many times, definitely very similar taste. Tried a cheaper version for a well known supermarket and there’s a big difference in quality, the Alishan is far superior. Work recommend.

Opened the packet, sniffed, beautiful aroma. Poured on the hot water. sniffed. beautiful aroma. Drank the tea, beautiful taste, fully the same as the aroma. Poured a second cup, same taste, and, importantly, the buds had retained some colour, ie still had some life in them. Very happy with this tea, much superior to others I have tried.
