Premium Shoumei White Tea Cakes are made from tea leaves farmed in the Taimu mountains of Fuding, China. They are plucked later in the year than other white teas, making them a darker shade of green than most white WellTeas. This contributes to their mellow yet fruity flavour, with acute notes of herbaceous in every cup.
Premium White Tea Cakes, also known as Yue Guang Bai, contain a fresh, silver colored budset. This WellTea is harvested from Arbor tea trees, which are between 100 and 300 years old. The large tea leaves have a fuzzy texture and are covered in soft silvery needles, leading to the family name of white needle tea. These leaves are carefully pressed together by hand to create the 350g tea cakes.
