Description
Peony White Tea cake, also known as Pai Mu Tan, is one of the most popular types of white tea in the world. There are, however, many varieties of peony white tea grown in different areas. WellTea’s variety comes from the tea plantations in Taimu mountains in Fuding, which is in the province of Fujian, China.
The high altitude and cool breezes of this region offer the perfect conditions for growing peony white tea, making ours one of the finest available.
.
After it’s harvested, the tea leaves are treated the traditional way. First, they are withered in the sun in a natural oxidation process that releases the flavour locked inside the leaves. After that, they are sun-dried before the leaves are stone-mould pressed into tea cakes weighing 350g. This makes them both convenient to transport and to brew without the need for teabags.
Our Peony White Tea Cake require a mere 15 seconds to brew for the first time, allowing you to quickly enjoy the elegantly lush flavours, mellowing effect and the sweet aftertaste of this Tea. It can then be brewed a further two more times. However, if you have a lot of patience, Peony White Tea Cake can also be stored for years in dry, cool conditions, which will enhance both its taste and value.
