Beschreibung
Royal Puerh Tea has a particularly proud history in tea lore as it was traditionally served as an annual tribute tea in the imperial court of China. Also known as Vintage Palace Puerh Shu Tea, this WellTea was runner up in the 2009 Tea King Competition held in Shanghai.
The puerh leaves in this WellTea are cultivated in the fields of Menhai in the province of Yunnan, China. After they are plucked, the tea leaves are treated the traditional way: first they are pan fried then dried and left to ferment under the sun’s rays. This process helps the leaves to release their flavour. They are then carefully aged to further develop the taste and aroma. This careful process enables them to be packaged as loose tea without losing any of their potency.
The recommended brewing time for Royal Puerh Tea is seven seconds before being left to stand for eight seconds.
