Ginseng Oolong Tea

Description

Description

Ginseng Oolong Tea is renowned for its deliciously sweet and invigorating taste. Its taste has been compared to that of tie guan yin tea that has been combined with the refreshing aroma of ginseng.

To make our own Ginseng Oolong Tea our harvesters mix ginseng roots with premium grade oolong tea leaves. The result is a rich and crisp tasting cup of tea with a sweet buttery aftertaste wrapped with distinguishable ginseng flavour. Ginseng Oolong Tea is also nourishing as well as delicious, enriching the body, mind and soul with every sip. This makes Ginseng Oolong Tea the perfect cup to give your spirits and sense of well being a lift in the morning.

It takes an experienced eye to spot the leaves used to make Ginseng Oolong Tea. They resemble moss-covered pebbles more than they do tea leaves. What’s more, tea drinkers are competing with doctors for their ownership because oolong and ginseng are two of China’s most widely used ingredients for medicines.

This is why in China Ginseng Oolong tea is drunk for its health benefits as much as for its refreshing taste. This includes lowering blood pressure,, improving the immune system and even improving physical and mental endurance.

Ginseng Oolong Tea also known as Ren Shen Wu Long, Ginseng Oolong, Ren Shen Oolong or Ginseng Wu Long

I cannot state enough how fantastic this tea is. The taste is amazing, sweet yet slightly crisp with a nutty undertone. It gave me a gentle lift and left a lovely lingering aftertaste. Will definitely be re-ordering soon!

Kabusecha Sencha Green Tea

The harvesting process for Kabusecha Green tea is rather unique. Like all teas, the leaves are left to grow in natural sunlight. Then 2-3 weeks before they’re harvested the tea plants are covered with huge black sheets to block around half of the sunlight, hence the name Kabusecha which literally means ‘covered tea’. The reason for this is to bring out the tea’s highly sweet taste and remove any hint of bitterness. This has led to comparisons with Japanese Gyokuro tea, both in terms of taste and the emerald green colour of the leaves.

Bancha Green Tea

Japanese Bancha tea is harvested from the same tree as the popular Sencha family of teas. However, the leaves for Bancha tea are harvested later, towards the start of autumn and almost up until winter when the leaves are larger. This is known as the ‘second flush’ of harvesting. Due to the fact that they are picked later in the year, Bancha tea is ranked at a lower grade than traditional Sencha tea. The advantage of this is that it makes Bancha tea much more affordable.
